Join Jayden as he gives some commentary during the final round of the (Classic) Lackey Grand Prix #8 in a match between Jake’s Gold n’ Thieves verses Jay’s Blue Hand Control!

Lackey Grand Prix #8: The Classic One is now in the books and if you have yet to check out last week’s Top Cut livestream then head on over to my channel to see who came out on top. But wait! Before you go do that, this week’s video is actually set before Top Cut in LGP8 so it’ll work out just fine for you to watch this one first. That’s right, this week’s game is a recorded match between Jake “agurthewise” A. and Jay “floodedRED” C. while I watch the game with you and give some commentary. Jake decided to forego the element of surprise here by rolling into the game with a Classickified (“Classified”?) version of his NT Gold/Thieves deck, while Jay, on the other hand, went a little rogue. He didn’t stray too far from home because the offense is blue and it is Genesis, but that’s about where the overlap with Flood ends. Using CoW Abraham and some patriarch buddies, Jay put together a Genesis hand control deck that I will say was quite intriguing. Unfortunately, it’s a little tough to make it work in Rotation, but in Classic there seem to be just enough tools to make the concept viable. So, check out the video to see if Jay’s risky build paid off or if Jake’s resilient build was able to hold off the aggression.

Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 when his brothers taught him to play and he attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Since then, he has become a competitive (mostly Type 2) player with a few National titles and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game.
