For Lackey Grand Prix #15 Round 3, I decided to Type-1-ify my Angel/Thieves Nazareth Type 2 deck that had success at the KY State tournament a few weeks ago.

I started from the Type 2 version, cut all the duplicates, and then made a few more cuts and swaps to end up at a 53 card list that I was happy enough with.

After playing against GoC offenses in the first two rounds of both the Zoom/Discord tournament and the Lackey Grand Prix, I had hoped a Thieving Nazareth build would help me counter some of the speedy setup and tough to stop rescues that GoC offenses excel at.

Didn’t take long to find out though that GoC was not what I’d be playing against as my opponent for this round, Matt “Royric” S., started assembling the infamous Daniel metal band. Daniel’s Fortress negate alongside Dominant restricts, neutral negates, evil negates, layers of protection, and more made for quite the complex and interesting game.

Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 when his brothers taught him to play and he attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Since then, he has become a competitive (mostly Type 2) player with a few National titles and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game.
