Redemption with Jayden – Step Aside Ahimelek, This is a Job for Amminadab
This week Jayden tests out a Prophets deck with a splash of Ruth that focuses on banding in Isaiah and Amminadab for a cannot be negated bounce. Check out this article to see how this worked out against a flood deck!
The deck we’re trying out this week is a nice little Prophets deck with a splash of Ruth that focuses on banding in Isaiah and Amminadab for a CBN bounce. It’s pretty similar to the Prophets deck that I played on the channel last year in one of my first videos that used Ahimelek, the Hittite for the same effect, but I think this version is a definite improvement. Not only are there a few more ways to get to Amminadab, but the concept itself is stronger in rotation play simply because there aren’t very many CBN battle winners these days. With this offense, you get to interrupt the battle and band in a CBN battle winner and potentially get some value with the other Heroes you get to band in, so I think it is certainly a strong rotation offense. I used the deck to great success in the October online tournament and thought it would be fun to share.
The game I got in for this video was with Jay Chambers, who of course had to give Flood the rotation treatment to see how it fairs in the brand new meta. To just about no one’s surprise, it’s definitely still good and didn’t lose much with rotation, but what Jay also did though, was build it with no turn 1 Reserve access in mind. So it should be interesting to see how the deck’s consistency fairs when Noah, Ark, and their tutors need to be in the deck if you want to get to them right away, which in Flood, you do. Really fun game so check it out as well as the deck list below.

Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 when his brothers taught him to play and he attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Since then, he has become a competitive (mostly Type 2) player with a few National titles and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game. However, in the years leading up to 2020, there has been a downward trend in attendance at some of the big tournaments, Nationals included. As a result, Jayden wanted to start doing something that would help pique and maintain interest in Redemption and he decided to do so in the form of a YouTube channel called Redemption with Jayden, which he started in June 2020 shortly after graduating college. He loves being able to share decks, games, and strategies, and hopes that the channel can be a useful resource for players at every level of the game.
