It’s combo time again everyone. I came across this combo shortly after Nationals this year, and after confirming that it works the way I thought it did, decided it would make for some (hopefully) exciting content. So, how does one mill your opponent’s entire deck, you may wonder? Well, first you gotta be playing Type 2 and you have to be playing Classic. If you don’t want to know how it works and would rather just be surprised in the video (which doesn’t have an intro overview like they normally do) then skip over the rest of this and check out the game against Joe in the video below.

The cards you absolutely need for the combo are a converted-to-green male Philistine, Abel’s Sacrifice (Pa), Eleazar’s Sword, a green Good Enhancement that mills your opponent (I went with Out of Egypt but Plague of Locusts works too), and two copies of Visions of Iddo the Seer. In order to be most effective, you’ll want something to choose the blocker like Provisions, Potter and the Clay (PoC) to ensure you have initiative for a while, Search to fish out whatever you’re missing, and plenty of ways to answer deck protection, restricts Dominants, and negate your opponent’s LSs, all so you’re not interrupted while comboing. The rest of the deck is all about setting that up quickly and slowing your opponent down just enough so that their board state is still manageable after you do happen to pull it off. The way my deck tries to do it is to use Provisions of Naaman’s Servant Girl (FoM) and then when she comes back use Feast of Unleavened Bread to grab all the combo Enhancements from Reserve. Then when you attack with Servant Girl, convert Abimelech, King of Gerar to green, choose a big enough EC to block, and play away. It takes some time to figure out what all you need and when you need it, so it took a lot of goldfishing to get it right, and after the game with Joe I realized a few things I could probably adjust, but pulling it off is pretty sweet so hopefully y’all enjoy!

Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 when his brothers taught him to play and he attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Since then, he has become a competitive (mostly Type 2) player with a few National titles and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game.
