Join Jayden in Round 3 of Lackey Grand Prix #9 as he ventures into the fiery furnace to go up against Emmanuel (and his lion’s den)!

Either way I’m not trying to cheat this time… This week we’re going back to the “roots” (see what I did there?) of the Grapegate deck and simply just using the interaction with Grapes of Wrath and Gates of Jerusalem as a Dominant-powered battlewinner alongside Angel of the Lord with the goal of making almost every rescue using Dominants as they’re pretty tough to stop. There is still the possibility of using Noah to shuffle Grapes back if it is used to start a new battle, but primarily the goal is just to use Grapes once, hopefully to take out a nice big banding chain of Evil Characters on unsuspecting opponents. Since last time, the deck has been decentralized from the combo for the most part and those pieces were replaced with protection and recursion to keep the battles going. The gameplay is from Lackey Grand Prix #9 Round 3 against Emmanuel “eman” Echavarria who used a new twist in his favorite deck.

Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 when his brothers taught him to play and he attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Since then, he has become a competitive (mostly Type 2) player with a few National titles and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game. However, in the years leading up to 2020, there has been a downward trend in attendance at some of the big tournaments, Nationals included. As a result, Jayden wanted to start doing something that would help pique and maintain interest in Redemption and he decided to do so in the form of a YouTube channel called Redemption with Jayden, which he started in June 2020 shortly after graduating college.
