That’s right, boys and girls, we’re back after a brief hiatus! This week’s Resurrecting Old Treasures looks at Paul. Obviously a large portion of the new set helps Paul out. Honestly, quite a few people were expecting a Paul reprint after we started revealing cards – Paul’s Disciples, Blinding Light, Annanias of Damascus are all obvious cards that help Paul.

I want to call out a couple other cards we printed that might find their way into your Paul or clay deck to help him save souls. Rhoda is an underrated rock-star in Paul decks! Paul is a missionary, so he can gain the Jerusalem identifier if that’s your main church. Simply push Rhoda [into battle], take a free peak at your next couple cards and swap into Paul, with protection from N.T. discard and capture – Sweet! Information is power in Redemption. Maybe you see a card with Rhoda you really want, swap into Matthew and snag it!

Paul also got some awesome battle winners in clay – Peter’s Sermon for the “regardless of protection” is the big one in my eyes, but Trapped in Cleverness isn’t bad either. Faithful Priest is another card that works well with Paul, who has initiative issues as is, so generally will be rescuing solo. Might as well pick up some cards for your rescue, maybe setting up the bottom of your deck for your Egyptian or demon defense.

The last card I want to touch on is Peace. Josiah wrote a beautiful article that details how great his card is already – I’ll just toss out that Paul is multi-color, and can take advantage of quite a few beefy Enhancements! I’ve included a sample deck list below that includes some of these combo’s. Hopefully you find them as enjoyable as I do.
