Join Jayden for video coverage of the T1-2P rounds at the big TJC Memorial Tournament.

Back in December, a Memorial Tournament was held in memory of Thomas Jay Chambers and to support the Chambers family. There was a great turnout for the tournament, which not only made for a fun and competitive tournament, but was also a reminder of the familial bond among many of us in the Redemption community. I was fortunate to be able to attend the tournament and do some recording of rounds 2 through 6 of Type 1 2-player, which are now all available for viewing on YouTube with varying degrees of post-production effort. Unfortunately, since the original plan was to livestream all the games, I wasn’t recording during Round 1 which is when we realized that the connection was not going to be strong enough for streaming. A very brief portion of the Round 1 game between Sam T. and Sawyer L. can be seen on Redemption with Jayden’s live videos section and the rest of the videos can be seen at the links below.

Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 when his brothers taught him to play and he attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Since then, he has become a competitive (mostly Type 2) player with a few National titles and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game. However, in the years leading up to 2020, there has been a downward trend in attendance at some of the big tournaments, Nationals included. As a result, Jayden wanted to start doing something that would help pique and maintain interest in Redemption and he decided to do so in the form of a YouTube channel called Redemption with Jayden, which he started in June 2020 shortly after graduating college. He loves being able to share decks, games, and strategies, and hopes that the channel can be a useful resource for players at every level of the game.
