Aaaaaand we’re back! Nationals 2023 is a wrap and after taking a bit of a content break I’m back to my usual shenanigans of throwing some decks together and playin’ some games. We’re kicking things off right away with another Lackey Grand Prix series that will be running throughout the month of September and I decided to start out with a brand new Israel’s Rebellion list that I had a lot of fun playtesting, called Priestbreaker. You may recognize a good chunk of the cards in the deck from the playtest game I recorded with Tyler and posted a few weeks before Nationals, and it’s nothing too fancy. Essentially I just took two themes from IR that I thought would be fun to play and smashed ’em together. There certainly are a few synergies between the two, but it would be pretty easy to replace either theme with something else you want to try. This round 1 game for LGP #12 is against Dave Smith, who also was trying out some new IR stuff so not only was this game fun to play, but it’ll be a good one to watch to start getting familiar with the new cards.
