Join Jayden for a deck that seeks to have very strong rescues through “block control”.
This week on Redemption with Jayden we have Round 3 of Lackey Grand Prix #12 against Jake “AgurtheWise” A. Of course I like most of the decks I build, but this one in particular I really enjoy because it fits very well in the archetype I like where the aim is to do as much as possible prior to a rescue to make the rescue as easy as possible. Most of the time it manifests as some kind of hand control strategy, but in the case of this deck the idea is more about “block” control. The idea here is to use Moshe and David’s Prayer to not only generate Lost Souls to rescue, but to make my opponent’s worst Evil Characters vulnerable on the battlefield to “choose the blocker” abilities. It was a tough offense to trim down but I’m mostly happy with where it ended up. On defense I put together what seems to be a fun and powerful crew of magicians that definitely have a few tricks up their sleeves.
