Redemption with Jayden: Humble and Meek, Nothing to See Here…
Join Jayden for a very unique deck build featuring the newest card in the game Humble Seeker and a “CareBear” defense!
This week on Redemption with Jayden we’re revisiting a theme I played awhile ago centered around the protection of meek Heroes from Mary, Faithful Servant, except now we get to go a little deeper by using the newest card in Redemption–Humble Servant. We’re leaning all in this time though with Nehemiah added as well for three options for protecting meek Heroes with other Heroes. The “CareBear” defense was brought up on Discord a week or so ago and I realized it would probably be a decent fit for this deck with a few NT Heroes to trigger The Holy Spirit and a mostly natural fit for Hope, Love, and Joy regardless. As long as I was doing that, I figured I might as well include a small Job package with Peace as well because of THS and Hope and also because the Job animals fit well with the defense. My opponent this week was none other than the guy who hosted me on Episode 2 of his new podcast earlier this week–John Hendrix. John threw together a deck with a similar offensive concept which kinda looked like a Lineage of Christ Hall of Fame that also used Mary and the best “convert to meek” Heroes around. He tried it out with a Philistine defense which definitely has a few things going for it post-Rotation even without Philistine Chariot and Horses, so that was cool to see. We did play with the Reserve rule since that will be going into effect starting November 1st. Check out the deck list and the game below!
(If you want to copy the deck into Lackey, copy this list into a .txt file in your Lackey>…>Redemption>decks folder, remove the “10” from the Reserve list, and Browse to the file from Lackey’s deck editor.)

Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 when his brothers taught him to play and he attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Since then, he has become a competitive (mostly Type 2) player with a few National titles and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game. However, in the years leading up to 2020, there has been a downward trend in attendance at some of the big tournaments, Nationals included. As a result, Jayden wanted to start doing something that would help pique and maintain interest in Redemption and he decided to do so in the form of a YouTube channel called Redemption with Jayden, which he started in June 2020 shortly after graduating college. He loves being able to share decks, games, and strategies, and hopes that the channel can be a useful resource for players at every level of the game.
