This week’s video features a deck that I’ve been wanting to share with y’all for awhile, but Lackey doesn’t lend itself very well to this particular deck and I would’ve much rather debuted the deck at Nationals than at an online tournament or something smaller like that. But, alas, someone else discovered it and now the world knows so here we are.

We’ve finally got a Daniel deck on the channel, but it’s better than usual since it’s a combo Daniel deck. Normally Daniel decks are optimized by running as few non-Daniel cards as possible including using only Lost Souls with a Daniel reference and even running fewer than 7 Dominants. I know, crazy right? But we’re not going to talk much about how normal Daniel decks work here. You can learn more about that from Chad’s article here where he shared his Daniel build and a detailed breakdown of it. In this deck, we’re exploiting an interaction between Jeshua and Eyes to See that lets you play Eyes to See “infinite” times, letting you cycle through your deck however many times you want with The Foretelling Angel out to look at your top card the entire time. If it’s a Daniel card, might as well take it. If it’s not, just send it to the bottom and keep rolling. It’s a pretty fun combo and while it doesn’t break the game entirely or result in a NPE (hopefully), it does allow the Daniel theme to compete with the best of the best… As long as you take 20 minutes on your first or second turn to get things set up. Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 when his brothers taught him to play and he attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Since then, he has become a competitive (mostly Type 2) player with a few National titles and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game. As a result, Jayden wanted to start doing something that would help pique and maintain interest in Redemption and he decided to do so in the form of a YouTube channel called Redemption with Jayden, which he started in June 2020 shortly after graduating college.
