Can Jayden meld two combos together utilizing Grapes of Wrath effectively?

This week on Redemption with Jayden we’re exploring a few recent interactions that are sort of on the level of “combo” (or at least what Redemption calls “combos” which aren’t necessarily game-winning on the spot, they’re just fun interactions) and how they work alongside each other, if in fact they do… The first combo is to use Grapes of Wrath to self-defeat your King of Judah and use Gates of Jerusalem to add a meek king. The second combo is to use Grapes of Wrath to begin a new battle with Noah and use Noah to shuffle Grapes back into your deck to use again later. Is it possible to combine these two combos for Infinigrapes?? Not quite like I thought unfortunately, however that doesn’t mean it’s not possible to do some other way so perhaps we’ll have to keep looking… As with most Lackey Grand Prix, I like to start out with something a little more off the wall while the stakes are low, so it’s a great testing ground for a combo deck. I happened to be matched up in Round 1 against Kayden “Crabburrito” L. for this one and it was definitely fun to see the way in which this deck was almost able to break the rules… Enjoy!

Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 when his brothers taught him to play and he attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Since then, he has become a competitive (mostly Type 2) player with a few National titles and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game. However, in the years leading up to 2020, there has been a downward trend in attendance at some of the big tournaments, Nationals included. As a result, Jayden wanted to start doing something that would help pique and maintain interest in Redemption and he decided to do so in the form of a YouTube channel called Redemption with Jayden, which he started in June 2020 shortly after graduating college. He loves being able to share decks, games, and strategies, and hopes that the channel can be a useful resource for players at every level of the game.
