Redemption with Jayden: Do You Miss the Words on the Art?
Join Jayden and veteran Redemption player Jay Chambers for a game featuring the Scrolls Only format.
Join Jay Chambers and I in the time machine back to 2012 with some refreshing and easy to follow “Scrolls Only” game play with modern rules. As two current competitive players who were both playing well before the new card face was introduced, I think we both had a great time even though Jay used Falling Away on me. We also talked briefly about some ideas for format names since Jay and I are in agreement that the current ones could use an upgrade so join the conversation by suggesting some names! Bonus points if you can somehow relate them to the Bible in an intuitive way. And let me know if y’all like the Scrolls Only game play or if you’d rather I stick to official formats for the most part at least. I’ll definitely do a few more Scrolly games here and there before Mr. Classic but how many I do can be somewhat determined by you. Enjoy the game!

Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 when his brothers taught him to play and he attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Since then, he has become a competitive (mostly Type 2) player with a few National titles and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game. However, in the years leading up to 2020, there has been a downward trend in attendance at some of the big tournaments, Nationals included. As a result, Jayden wanted to start doing something that would help pique and maintain interest in Redemption and he decided to do so in the form of a YouTube channel called Redemption with Jayden, which he started in June 2020 shortly after graduating college. He loves being able to share decks, games, and strategies, and hopes that the channel can be a useful resource for players at every level of the game.
