Join Jayden in a commentary video of round one of Lackey Grand Prix #7: David verses Golia……Jake. David verses Jake.

This week marks the beginning of Lackey Grand Prix #7, which is the biggest turnout we’ve had in a while with 20 players. We are testing out hard limits of one territory class Enhancement (in territory) per turn and one Artifact activation per turn, and all the games are being recorded as a result. Some of the players, like Jake (agurthewise) and David (smittyseveneyes), have been willing to send their games in to me for commentary so hopefully we’ll have a lot of content over the next few weeks! In this game, we have Jake running an NT Gold/Thieves deck and David running Prophets/brown-gray splash. The 1TC limit definitely encourages more action during battle and we get to see some great ones in this game for sure, so I hope y’all enjoy!

Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 when his brothers taught him to play and he attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Since then, he has become a competitive (mostly Type 2) player with a few National titles and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game. However, in the years leading up to 2020, there has been a downward trend in attendance at some of the big tournaments, Nationals included. As a result, Jayden wanted to start doing something that would help pique and maintain interest in Redemption and he decided to do so in the form of a YouTube channel called Redemption with Jayden, which he started in June 2020 shortly after graduating college. He loves being able to share decks, games, and strategies, and hopes that the channel can be a useful resource for players at every level of the game.
