You might have come to the channel this week expecting a Lackey Grand Prix game, but unfortunately I messed up recording my Round 1 game against Reth. But never fear, a replacement game is here! I wasn’t able to reschedule with Reth before this video came out, but I was able to get in a game with AgurTheWise using the same “Matthew’s Prophecy” deck I used against Reth. Essentially the goal is to use Matthew to find resources early and maybe pick up a rescue with some green/clay overlap, and then use the strong battlewinning potential of prophets to clean things up. Semi-intentionally, this is just about the same matchup I commentated on last week between AgurTheWise and smittyseveneyes, so check out the video to see if Matthew gave the prophets the boost they need to hang in there against the speedy Thieves!

Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 when his brothers taught him to play and he attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Since then, he has become a competitive (mostly Type 2) player with a few National titles and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game. However, in the years leading up to 2020, there has been a downward trend in attendance at some of the big tournaments, Nationals included.
