Join Seth Morlan on a new series discussing cards that deserve more playing time…”Put me in, Coach!“
Hello Redemption Community! As you may have seen on Discord, I was asked to write up my opinion on the least used cards in Redemption that I think are still useful in their own way. I will do a write up on 5 cards of each card type to get a good overview. Today I will be talking about good alignment cards! This will involve both heroes and good enhancements. These cards are what win you battles I would say about 70% of the time.
Good ol’ Father Abe. He has been a good card since CoW came out. He has always had a solid ability, but I believe that this one takes the cake. He first and foremost can activate his own star ability, which is to grab any meek red hero…which is about any hero in LoC. On top of that, he can draw 3, which with his star ability isn’t hard to accomplish his X qualifier. When he converts to meek it is near impossible to get initiative on this guy. He will almost always be able to play first. Blue has never been known to have amazing battle-winners, but even if you don’t want to have initiative, Father Abe has an array of patriarchs that will support him with many numbers. Patriarchs have cards like Goshen that will always back them up due to their lack of battle-winners. They have big boy numbers and little gimmicks that can inadvertently win them the battle. All in all, I think that if you’re wanting to run blue but still get the meta speed you want, Papa Abe is the man for your needs.
I have actually saved the best of the good alignment for last. For years, I have raved about this card (not so much in recent years), but here it is…the underused champion of good alignment.
It’s been a pleasure, thank you from coming to my TED talk on cards that I think should see way more play than they do. In the next article, I will be covering evil alignment cards that I think should see more play. So go out and deck build! I would love to see what y’all come up with. Send me a DM on Discord at @bingaling4243 with decks you’ve made and cards you think should see play! I am always open to listening to opinions and strategies.
