Redemption with Jayden- Lackey Grand Prix Top Cut: Jayden vs. Brad
Join Jayden for a premier game between him and Brad G in the top cut portion of the Lackey Grand Prix.
The first Lackey Grand Prix has officially come to a close with the 2021 T1-2P National Champ, Josh Portratz, coming out on top. Going into the Top (4) Cut portion of the tournament, the standings were Luke in first, myself in 2nd, Brad in third, and Josh in fourth, which meant the first round of the single elimination tournament would be Luke vs Josh and Jayden vs Brad. Jay livestreamed the top games of both rounds on Discord, but unfortunately we didn’t have it set up for recording the games. There are plans to remedy that for the next time around, but for now I did record the game between Brad and I for y’all so hopefully that’ll help hold you over until the next one starts. Throughout the Swiss rounds I ran four unique 57 card decks, so I figured that it was time to take out the metaphorical big guns and run my sleek and slender PostE deck because I wouldn’t want to win without it if I did happen to pull it off. Clearly I should’ve just stuck with 57… 😛 Brad, on the other hand, ran his bread and butter David and friends, or Ruth/Music, offense and a pretty punishing Syrian defense. When we played in Round 2, Brad was running a very similar, if not the same, offense but with a Philistine defense that I guess didn’t quite cut it for him. Despite my composure during the game, it was still a fun one by the end of it and I hope y’all enjoy!

Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 and attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Over the years, he has since become a competitive player with National titles across several categories and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game. Inspired by video content creators from other games, Jayden endeavored to begin the "Redemption with Jayden" YouTube channel in June 2020 to help promote the game during a time where tournament attendance was low and many games were being played online. While the majority of his content is online gameplay, Jayden now enjoys doing live tournament streaming, box openings, deck breakdowns, and much more in hopes that the channel can be a useful resource for players at every level of the game.
