The final day of Redemption Nats 2022 featured Sealed Deck and Teams. Check out this recap for results and details on the final day of Nats 2022.
The final day of Redemption Nationals 2022 has come to a close and with it the two final events of Teams and Sealed deck have come to a close as well.
Here are the top three finishers in each category:
Teams:
#1 Jeremy Chambers & John Hendrix
#2 Andrew Streit & Brett Ehler
#3 Jayden & Justin Alstad
Sealed Deck:
#1 Josh Knitt
#2 Rob Mulye
# 3 Luke Marshall
Teams: Jeremy Chambers had quite the Nationals this year: 1st place T2-2P, 3rd place T1-2P, and 1st place in Teams. This is reminiscent of Jayden Alstad’s performance at Nationals last year in 2021 where he performed as follows: 1st place T2-2P, 1st place T2-MP, and 1st place in Teams. Bravo Jeremy! Also congrats to our friend The Threshing Floor Podcast host John Hendrix for the victory in Teams! Teams is a team category so there is no way Jeremy would have won without John. John Hendrix does so much for Redemption with his fantastic podcast and it is wonderful to see him experiencing some well deserved success as a National champion. From what I know Jeremy/John were running the Widow Combo in their championship effort. So in terms of constructed categories at Nats this year Widow Combo decks won two out of three categories with T2-2P and Teams being won bey Widow Combo decks and out of constructed categories only T1-2P was not won by a Widow Combo deck with Jayden Alstad winning with his trusty Postexilic deck.
A shout out to newcomers Andrew Streit and Brett Ehler for placing second in teams. This is impressive especially since they finished ahead of two of the greatest Redemption players of all time in Jayden and Justin Alstad (yes now that Jayden has won T1-2P along with T2-2P at Nats I believe he is one of the greatest Redemption players of all time. Justin has been at that status for a while now)! Well done Andrew and Brett and congratulations.
Sealed Deck: Josh Knitt is a force to be reckoned with in draft categories winning booster draft at Nats in 2014 and 2016. Now he has added a Sealed Deck Nationals title to his achievements. Quite impressive. We witness another beloved Redemption content creator in Rob M placing second in Sealed Deck. It is great to see Redemption with Jayden, The Threshing Floor, and Rob M studios all placing at Nats as each of these guys do so much for the community. Congrats Rob!
Luke Marshall rounded things out finishing in third. Luke is one of the best active players in Redemption and had a great tournament season finishing tied for first in RNRS points for T1-2P. It is good to see him placing at Nats in a category.

Attendance: I would like to point out this Nats displayed a resurgence in attendance. Official attendance for Nationals 2022 is as follows: 85 people participated in events 104 people in total attended. This is the highest overall attendance at a Redemption Nationals since 2012 when 110 people attended Nationals. This is a wonderful testament to how the game is growing and is resurgent! A huge thanks to Gabe Isbell for all the work he put in to host this very successful National tournament.
