We’ve got incoming darts!
Do you have your armor on? Yesterday we gave you the Belt of Truth – Today we’ll give you the Breastplate.
As Christian Soldiers we are called to be righteous – The Bible characterizes this as the breastplate of armor – the last line of defense before our heart. In Redemption we represent that with this card:
Like the Belt of Truth yesterday, this card evolved significantly through the playtesting process. It went from clay-to-multi-to-clay/red-to-clay/red/white. In Redemption white brigade Heroes represent righteousness and purity. The Breastplate protects the heart, the source of our righteousness.
The ability continues the theme of picking brigades for protection – The Kings Breastplate protected from Crimson, but that brigade was already covered by Belt, far more appropriately. We decided on Brown and Gray, as they tend to be heavy in evil weapons.
For the X component we decided that just as the spiritual version of the breastplate negates Satan’s attempts to hurt us, the physical breastplate should stop Satan’s minions from working.
Be sure to join us tomorrow to see the next piece of Armor!
