For Round 3 of Lackey Grand Prix #19 I decided to bring back a deck from a month or two ago that I’ve been enjoying playing a physical copy of in the RobM Zoom/Discord Invitational tournament, and it’s certainly timely that I did because it gave me the perfect opportunity to highlight that the combo the deck is built around no longer works. That combo is the Abishai + Snatched Spear interaction, where Abishai equipping Snatched Spear allows the “choose opponent” ability to be inserted before Abishai’s band.

However, a few days after this game was played, it was determined that this ruling was incorrect and the “choose opponent” ability on Snatched Spear is added to the Ability Activation Order in its proper place, which is at the end with any other abilities that add characters to your opponent’s side of the battle. So all that said, fortunately I got my game in with Jake before that ruling was clarified, but at this point the deck listed below probably won’t perform as well as it did in this game against Jake… and that’s saying something.
