The first two cards I drafted were and Holy Grail. Between them, 2x Self, Nathan, and a solid number of battle-winning GEs, I was generally able to run my opponents out of ECs. The matchups where this didn't work were against the surprising number of opponents playing orange (as Grail and the Selves only target humans).

The soul gen from Hopper, TAS, 2x Self, and False Witnesses made a HUGE difference in my games.

Although I most often blocked with the Selves so I could capture ECs and generate souls (and because I had strong EEs in all 3 of their brigades), Hadad was my best blocker. Making the battle FBTN was often enough on its own to win (with the side benefit of drawing a couple cards), and I had the CBP and Lying Unto God to help win any battles in which the heroes actually put up a fight.

Ahijah was my best hero, able to draw a few cards or search for a dual enhancement like . Perfidy is crazy strong in booster. Between Ahijah, Spy, Perfidy, and Philosophy, I was typically able to get regular updates on my opponent's hand.

While drafting, I was disappointed never to find any choose-the-attacker ECs like Abner, Simon the Host, Cassander, etc. Between Holy Grail and Joel, I could have easily set up some infinite stalemate blocks with a CTA EC. I also wish I would have drafted an Ezekiel when I had the chance, as I ended up with 2 copies of . But as those were from the last packs, it was too late.
