War & Mayhem!

I present to you "War & Mayhem". This deck is one that I was having a blast with before Nationals 2025, and truthfully, I regret not playing it. I know it can be a bit of a glass cannon with how aggressively built it is, but it is a load of fun to play and packs a real punch. The main hesitation from playing it was that I wasn't settled on the defense. Not knowing if I would be able to consitently get 2 blocks per game with the defense, I opted to play the Genesis deck that I had played all last season that featured CoW Moses.

The highlight of this deck is getting to rip 2 Evil Characters from the opponent's deck, plus up to 2 Evil Enhancements, all while forcing a discard of an evil card from hand. I know it sounds like a pipe dream, but this deck can consistently make it happen. Getting 2 ECs happens about half the time I goldfish it. Granted goldfishing is fool's gold, but it's still quite fun.

The way the deck accomplishes this is getting to Jehu and equipping Adino's spear on him. Then have him exchange to Nahari who bounces the weapon now in territory and re-equips it to himself to snipe a second EC. You can also get Eleazar's Sword on Abishai pretty easily which negates protection, or if they have none and you can bypass the need for that ability, it hits an EE in their deck. If you can manage to get the double band for Abishai and use one band for Jehu and the other for David, the Unifier, he can then bring in Joab the General to hit another EE in their deck.

After discovering these lines of play and building around the fastest way possible to set that up, I then began to work towards an ideal second turn. For this deck, the banding allows you to hit some more key cards in their deck, but also allows you to get to Jotham the Mighty in Reserve which grabs a battle winner or can grab Nazareth to make it difficult on the opponent for their next turn.

Again, this deck is a glass cannon, but it is a ton of fun!
