Daniel, the Treasured
Introduction:
This deck build was inspired by a deck build called Valley Girls which I built years ago for a play group member. I shared that deck build on Land of Redemption and updated it most recently in 2024. You can read about that build here: https://landofredemption.com/cthetrees-take-on-valley-girls/
The build is called Valley Girls due to the four female heroes on offense and the key role they play in the deck build.
This build is substantially different than the original version that I last updated in 2024 with many changes being made.
I recently placed 2nd in the Lackey Grand Prix #28 with this deck build.
Outside of Two Arrows this is the main deck build I have worked on this season and have used in tournament play.
Explanation:
Objective #1: Consistent Protected 24 Elders/Musicians/Lazarus/or Daniel/Esther with Joy-
As I was evaluating the current meta I realized that perhaps the strongest possible rescue in the game is Twenty Four-Elders protected via or . There are very few things that can get through this and especially with support the number of things that can get through protected 24 Elders with Herod's Temple tossing enhancements are few.
This deck build is quite consistent at getting to 24 Elders with 7 ways to 24 Elders turn 1 (, , David's Harp to Love Righteousness, , (I have 4 female heroes main deck so I have decent odds of being able to use Virgin Birth as a main deck tutor), , and 24 Elders). It is also important to note that this consistency suite of tutors gets me to other Heroes in the build as well with ease also run 6 artifacts main deck to try and aim to consistently have an artifact to shuffle away for 24 Elders ability to work. Book of the Covenant provides access to more artifacts in Reserve for the same.
Regarding consistency and speed in this build is also huge being able to net two cards every time my opponent draws or searches. Mayhem, , Lazarus, Obed (in this build he actually can end up drawing 1-2 cards if I have meek David and Jesse in play), (B/G), and David's Harp all offer speed through card draw. This build is quite consistent via tutors and offers enough speed via card draw to keep it afloat against hyper speedy deck builds. It is not the fastest deck in the meta by any means but I feel it is both consistent and speedy enough to be viable.
I also can go to Lazarus for a protected FBTN rescue as well in a similar vein to protected 24 Elders. You will notice this build is designed to where I am able to go in with Lazarus converted to meek and do just fine due to Covenant with Moses, Faith of Moses Parents, and all working with him. These Clay/White battle winners fit quite well in this build. Also often times I can convert Martha or Mary in territory if want solo Lazarus and be able to use Reprimand with him too.
The Bethany Trio band rescue when all three are available is a strong rescue as well.
Going in with protected or David, Heart after God via is strong too.
I should also note how David's Harp is very good with 24 Elders, , and David against the Herod defense by being able to get around their protection post block.
Lastly I can enter in with Esther or with on them for a CBN protected rescue as well. This build is able to utilize the cheese rescue via choose the blocker with Daniel, the Treasured.
Objective #2: Support-
One thing I realized that can get through protected 24 Elders with relative ease is Abomination of Desolation blocks since and do not protect from neutral cards. Obed helps with this but then I found which with the changes to ignore is perhaps the best battle winner to pair with 24 Elders since it can get around Abom/Plunderers/ (Brown/Crimson) blocks while also being a negate and a mass battle winner by being able to withdraw all ECs of a certain brigade in battle. Since it is not an ITB it does not interrupt 24 Elders ongoing negate like Royal Parade does. is able to recur Word of Christ over and over again for 24 Elders to use.
With this find in place I realized my main issue was finding a way to have Clay heroes since requires a Clay hero being controlled to have its negate be operative as well as finding enough meek heroes for Obed/Jesse to work. I realized the Bethany Trio fits in here quite well in that regard. is also Clay so that provides 4 total clay heroes in the deck. I also have 6 total meek heroes so plenty for Obed/Jesse to work.
Objective #3: Strong Counter Support-
White is blessed with having a negate neutral hero in Obed, a targeted territory class character negate in Jesse, a resource generation counter in , and a non-targeted territory class character negate in Mary of Bethany. In a meta where 100 card decks are playing out a bunch of annoying lost souls via Obed is key. In a meta where choose the blocker tactics are prevalent territory class character negation is important making Jesse and Mary of Bethany important.
Objective #4: Key Contingency/Support Cards-
is a pain for FBTN heroes so I run Wastelands as a way to deal with Golgotha. Confusion of Mind is annoying so is run to deal with that and other annoying artifacts. is of course great since it can get around both of these cards for one turn as well.
This build offers a strong enough offense that battle winning doms are not needed to break through so /Complacent are run to aim to shut down the opponents battle winning Dominants.
Against Soul Hide Orphans LS, Esther, , and all offer reliable ways to deal with Soul Hide.
Covenant of Peace is run to deal with Confusion and Jaddua threats to banish .
is important since it allows me to bounce both OT and NT meek heroes which this build has.
(B/G), Herodias' Daughter, , , and help with dealing with the opponent's .
Objective #5: Strong Synergy-
This build has lots of nice synergy in it. First of all we see the great synergy with the Clay/White enhancements making it possible to fit the Bethany Trio into this White brigade offensive build. The fact this synergy also makes work so well in this build is quite nice.
Secondly we see the synergy between offense and defense due to Reprimand/Repercussion being both White/Gold as well as being great for both offense and defense. The defense by the way is a fairly standard Herod's type defense. Not too much to elaborate on there.
The synergy in having so many female heroes to make better is also nice.
Overall this build has harmony.
Maybe board:
Cards I have considered for this deck build include:
Twenty Shekels, Boaz’ Sandal, Banner of Love, The Lord Goes Before You, Golden Cherubim, Wall of Protection, The Woman with Child, Glory of the Lord (winner promo), Revolt, Moses, the Servant, Hopper LS, Overtaken/Herod's Executioner/Foreign Horses, Angel of the Lord (OT), Abandonment, Foreign Spears, Plague of Frogs, Land of Moab, Denarius/Emperor Claudius, Overcome!, No Need for Spices, Faith Unbowed, Naaman’s Servant Girl, Meshach, Mordecai, Prosperity LS, Goliath’s Curse, Baptism of Jesus, Hind’s Feet, I Am Grace, Eternal Inheritance (Reserve), Zechariah, the Silent, Joanna, the Generous, Forgotten LS, Hand/Deck Protection (Tables of the Law, Seven Lamps of Fire, Storehouse)
Conclusion:
This along with Two Arrows represent the main decks I have worked on refining and using in tournament play this tournament season. I feel this build is my best deck building effort along with Two Arrows this season and am pleased that it got 2nd place in the Lackey Grand Prix #28.
I feel this is a strong deck build that is well suited for the current meta. I plan to continue to refine it over time and enjoy playing with the deck build quite a bit.
If you have any ideas on how to make the deck build better feel free to reach out.
Change Log-
06-11-2026:
Deck-
Cut Twenty Shekels. Added Pot of Manna.
Explanation:
After losing to two of the big banding offenses I faced in the most recent Lackey Grand Prix I realized Pot of Manna could be a good call in this build. Neither the offense or defense are particularly dependent on banding and helps with getting to Pot of Manna quicker.
05-23-2026:
Reserve-
Cut Banner of Love and added Royal Parade.
Explanation:
Banner of Love has good synergy in this build due to running four female heroes. A rescue I liked to do was enter battle with one of the female heroes and then band in 24 Elders of Lazarus to negate evil cards and get the discard an evil card portion of Banner of Love activating in that FBTN environment making it quite difficult for the opponent to negate that.
However, Royal Parade offers is more consistently useful since it does not require having both a male and female player in battle to be able to serve as a removal effect.
Also in a meta with quite a few 100 card builds Royal Parade is not vulnerable to Forsaken LS which is seeing play in those builds and is often played out early. Banner of Love is stopped by Forsaken LS unless I have the Bethany Trio band CBN in battle due to Martha making it CBN. Royal Parade also works against defensive bands removing all evil characters in battle and being CBP with meek David, Jesse, or Obed is a plus as well.
Banner of Love packs a bit more of a punch due to the fact when it bands it 24 Elders of Lazarus to negate evil cards and then is able to discard an evil card that is hard to get around but I am going with Royal Parade for more consistent overall utility.
