It’s finally here! The first ever Type 2 Lackey Grand Prix is underway with participation far beyond expectations, which is awesome. I would have been happy with 4 players and 3 fun rounds of Round Robin, but we ended up with 10 players and we even got through the first round with nobody missing a game… So cool.

To kick things off, I got paired up against Jake “AgurTheWise” Antonetz and I decided to try out “Joshkelon” in Type 2, since even though the “holds” rule change kinda killed the Ashkelon strategy in Type 1, I think it can still work in Type 2, especially with a Joshua offense that is similarly oriented. Jake brought an Angels/Wilderness deck all about banding, drawing, and Captain America’s “I can do this all day” mentality, which made for a fun and grindy game.
