I’m joined this week by soon-to-be avid Type 2 player (or at least I hope) Tim “BaboonyTim” Estes, who put together a Type 2 version of his “Big Clay” deck and brought it to me to talk about along with a general discussion about Redemption’s Type 2 format. It’s great to see more people taking an interest in Type 2, especially someone like Tim who does a lot through the game through activity in tournaments and online promotion. We recorded the conversation just before the weekend of Northwest Regionals, where Tim was planning to play Type 2 and managed to take 1st place with a revised version of this deck. Jayden started playing Redemption around 2004 and attended his first National Tournament in 2005. Over the years, he has since become a competitive player with National titles across several categories and, more importantly, has acquired many great friends and mentors through the game.
