Welcome back to CactusKnee’s Card Garden. Today’s episode is from a category that I think is
going to turn into a really fun segment. It’s the Fun Cards I Dare You to Play category. This is
exactly what it sounds like. Cards, that seem super cool, but don’t really make it into a lot of
decks for one reason or another. Today we are going to look at the card: The Song of Moses.
The Song of Moses reads, “Each player may search their deck and discard pile for up to 5
Heroes and put them in territory and/or hand. Cannot be negated.” Let’s break it down.
I think an obvious reason this card is not often played is not because of the benefit the player
receives, but more because of the equal benefit the opponent receives. We’ve all run into
cards that either reward both players, or hurt both players. In general, we’ve all accepted that
sometimes that’s the sacrifice needed to play whatever card it is. But The Song of Moses is
such a heavy reward to the opponent, I suspect it is often culled in the deck building process.
The fact that it is CBN is pretty neat, too. Now that I’m really looking at the card, I’m thinking of
how to exploit it. If you have played a card or cards that punish the opponent for searching,
like Sheol, or one that benefits you, like Thomas the Twin, they may opt out of the search while
you get to dig your own Heroes out. THEN it wouldn’t seem so risky of a card to play.
So, sticking with the theme of this category, I’m issuing a dare. I dare you to not only put The
Song of Moses in your next deck, but to play it. There are plenty of Lackey Grand Prix, and
Zoom Discord matches out there that you could try it with. Or if you have the opportunity to
