This week’s video is a deck-building video based on a fun challenge that recently became possible:

building a deck that contains one card from each of the 66 books of the Bible.

With 56 cards in deck and 10 cards in Reserve, accounting for each of the books at least once became possible with the printing of our latest State tournament promo, Banner of Love.

In this video I take the deck from start-ish to finish and it certainly isn’t perfect, or even good for that matter, but I enjoyed building it and look forward to seeing what other people can come up with for a Bible deck.

Will it look mostly similar because of the books with limited options, or will the big books allow for enough variety? Is it better to just pack the bad cards you have to use in Reserve and have a little more freedom in the main deck, or should you try to build around the bad cards to maximize your available resources?

Some interesting thought experiments with the format and they do make building a reasonable deck somewhat difficult, but if anyone would like to take this beyond experimentation and play a “Bible Deck” game, then let me know and let’s see if we can make it happen. Enjoy!
