The 2022 Redemption National Tournament is officially underway in Iowa and the first day is in the books! Perhaps like me though you could not attend and want to keep up with what is happening at the tournament. Well thanks to some great content creators and host Gabe Isbell Land of Redemption has a treat for you!

Today two official categories took place: T2-2P and Booster Draft.

The top 3 finishers in each category today are as follows:

Booster Draft Top 3:

1. Joshua Potratz
2. Josh Knitt
3. Jared Strauss

Type 2-2 Player Top 3:

1. Jeremy Chambers
2. Jayden Alstad
3. Tyler Stevens

Booster Draft: Congratulations to these top finishers. It is great to see former top player Josh Knitt back doing well at Nats and newcomer Jared Strauss placing as well. Also props to Joshua Potratz on being a back to back National champion as he won T1-2P last year at Nationals and now Booster Draft this year. Josh has firmly established himself as one of the best active players in the game. Congrats!

Type 2-2 Player: Tyler Stevens is one of the greatest Redemption players of all time if you look at his career results. Finishing ahead of him at Nats is extremely difficult. Last year Jayden Alstad pulled it off finishing in 1st in T2-2P and he managed to again this year by finishing 2nd over Tyler’s 3rd. Jayden had the most dominant performance out of any player at Nats last year and amazingly a different player managed to finish ahead of him and Tyler this year: Jeremy Chambers. Jeremy’s win should surprise no one if they are familiar with his body of work last tournament season and this tournament season. He has dominated in person tournament play in both T1-2P and T2-2P this season. I knew going into Nats he had an excellent grasp on the meta and had fine tuned arguably the best deck build in the game. I will let Jeremy reveal that build on his own. I will say this: I got to witness Jeremy’s deck building acumen as we worked together on the Creation LAFS combo deck during the 2020-21 tournament season. He showed incredible skill in deck building throughout that process. He works very hard on his deck builds and all around is a very pleasant person. Congrats Jeremy on coming into your own and rising to the top of T2-2P!

Chad played Redemption in high school but took close to a 10 year hiatus from the game until 2019 when he came back to the game as a collector.
