While we as the Elder/Playtest team do not like to do it very often, sometimes it becomes necessary to implement a rule or tweak a rule in the midst of a tournament season because the potential for negative play experience (NPE) is too great. This happened many years ago with the change that limited side battles to one per player per turn. Several other such instances have occurred over the years and we are announcing one today after much deliberation amongst our team and several other experienced players.
Even though there hasn’t been a lot going on here on Land of Redemption this past week there’s a lot going on in the Redemption community! Most people have Revelation of John in hand now. State and Regional tournaments are just around the corner. There’s a lot of excitement and buzz about all the possibilities the new cards present.
Today I want to share with you a few minor updates that happened to the REG last week and tell you about an all Revelation of John booster draft our group did.

In today’s article, we’re going to look at some cards that underwent some changes after they had been previewed. These changes were based on community feedback from the previews, further playtester discussions and additional playtesting that occurred after the cards were initially shown to the community.
Work has been completed on a major update to the REG, version 4.0.0, that has some substantial changes. Read further for more information.
The Elders have completed a minor version update to the REG that is effective immediately. The primary changes were updating and adding information for Cloud of Witnesses cards but there are some other interesting changes as well.

Welcome to 2016! Things look to pick back up here at Land of Redemption in the new year. Several of our regular authors from the past have confirmed that they are entering a season where they will have time to begin contributing again, meaning that our readers can expect more frequent regular content again!
Our regular readers might be wondering why we had a couple days without content this past week. Is Land of Redemption closing its doors?
I can assure you, we’re not going anywhere. There are a number of reasons for the slow week, and why we might have a few more slow weeks before things pick back up.

As I mentioned in that article, the version of the card presented was an early play test version. While we weren’t completely settled on the card ability, we knew the general concept we wanted. We were excited for the chance to share with you, the readers, one of the cards from the upcoming release.
