Throwback Thursday is a common theme on sites and blogs where you hearken back to something interesting or random from the past. On Land of Redemption, we’ve started our Throwback Thursday trend with re-posts of preview articles from years past.

This week we continue with the Priests articles. Enjoy!

But one was saved. The wife of Jehoiada the high priest had learned of the destruction of Athaliah, and had hidden the little child Joash to keep him safe. Jehoiada kept Joash at the temple in secret for six years until he reached the age of seven.

Then Jehoiada showed his strength. He gathered the troops together to guard the temple and the child, and anointed Joash king of Judah, as was his right. Then Jehoiada had Athaliah arrested and brought to justice.

Your Heroes and Temple Artifacts are immune to Evil Characters of 2/2 or less.
And when they had finished it, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, whereof were made vessels for the house of the LORD, even vessels to minister, and to offer withal, and spoons, and vessels of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of the LORD continually all the days of Jehoiada. II Chronicles 24:14

In Redemption, there are some devious evil characters that players use because of their small stats, which are useful in gaining initiative to play the first enhancement in a battle. Athaliah, Potiphar’s Wife, Queen Maachah, Ahithophel, Fallen Warrior, Lot’s Daughters, plus the six 1/1 kings (and occasionally Silly Women), are all 2/2 or less. Many of those evil characters see a lot of play. Orange has evil characters of 1/1 and 2/2 as well. Those little evil characters cannot outwit Jehoiada. While he is in battle, he protects your heroes and your temple artifacts from them all.

If the six little 2/4 Panic Demons are pestering you, activate Crown of Thorns and watch them shrink to 2/1. Now attack with Jehoiada and he’ll protect all your heroes and temple artifacts from those Panic Demons, too.

The 26 priests in the teal brigade do a good job protecting your heroes from many popular evil strategies. They also help you retrieve and protect your tabernacle/temple artifacts. Jehoiada is just a sample of what Teal heroes have to offer.
