Final Previews of Special RoJ

Sorry, folks, I’m running a little behind on getting the previews up for you this week. Last minute details and questions for Nationals have to take precedence. Nationals is less than a week away!!! Can you feel the excitement in the air? I sure can!

Cutting Room Floor – RoJ: part 2

Last week in part 1 I focused mainly on cards that didn’t see print for one reason or another. But it’s not just cards that get cut. Sometimes the card still sees print but certain aspects of the card don’t make the final version. We strive to have the coolest looking art we can on the cards but that isn’t always easy. With a limited art budget to work with we need to be creative to keep things looking great. As a result one of the most common aspects of a card to hit the cutting room floor is the illustration.

Lately there’s been a lot of focus on big tournaments, top decks and awesome new combos from Revelation of John. All the excitement is with good cause, but today I’d like to take a step back to something a little more relaxed. Over the course of play testing cards change, then change again… and again.
